Meet Edwin Ong, a business marketing graduate who joined PropNex at the end of 2019. He achieved his first millionaire status in 2021, just two years after joining the company. However, his career was not all smooth sailing. Being married with three kids, Edwin felt frustrated as he struggled to find his footing in his career, which he considered vital as a father and husband. He job-hopped seven times in ten years, working in several industries, from retail to education and tech. His last job before transiting to the real estate industry was a start-up, from which he faced retrenchment.

His introduction to the industry was a coincidental one. In 2018, he sold his recently-MOPed HDB that he and his family were staying in at a negative sale. It was, unfortunately, sold with zero profit. His agent then suggested that he take a look at the new launch then, Whistler Grand. Eventually, with his CPF and his HDB sale, he bought his first private property. The agent who helped with that transaction suggested that he take up the RES (Real Estate Salesperson) course, and the rest is history.

He went on to live in Whistler Grand for a year before selling it, making a profit of more than half a million. Following that, he decoupled and bought three more properties in Dairy Farm. He also runs a successful business model, helping clients progress in their asset class, transacting and tagging more than 140 new launches in Upper Bukit Timah district. Today, he leads a team of six associates and started his own brand: The Winning Hive. With his brand motto being "Changing Minds, Impacting Lives", he nurtures like-minded younger agents to build a purpose-driven career in educating their clients to make better-informed decisions that are beneficial.

If you are talking about power couples, there are none like Vevien Ong and Bernard Ng, who have known one another since 15 years old. They got married in 2022. Both of them joined PropNex straight out of university, with Bernard graduating with a Bachelor's Degree in Economics and Finance, and Vevien graduating with a Degree in Business Management with Communications.

Their journey in the real estate industry is not one with no prior experience. Growing up, Vevien's parents were avid property investors, resulting in the family moving up to ten times. Vevien achieved her first millionaire status in 2021, with Bernard following suit in 2022 (Mind you! They are both less than 30 years old). One interesting fact is that Bernard was her first associate when she started her team. Today, they are managing a team of close to 100 associates together, making them one of the biggest teams in PropNex. Together, they have won multiple awards and millionaire statuses in their career. When asked how they stay successful consistently, Bernard said, "It's important to always craft out your own individual road map of how you want to achieve your goal, whatever the goal may be. That's why we have to work backwards to know what is the work that needs to be done."

Some might know her as a pawrent to an adorable corgi, while others might know her as an entrepreneur. While her recently boyfriend-turned-fianc might call her an incredible partner, her colleagues and associates definitely know her as an incredible property strategist. Yvonne Lai is a lady that wears many hats and succeeds in doing so. However, did you know that she is also a co-founder and silent partner of a local tech startup?

Capital Gains Studio is a local-bred game design studio that focuses on edutainment games, educating the masses on financial and economic literacy.
